The 'most dangerous' places in Southwark, according to police data
Southwark is a South London borough, stretching from just south of the River Thames all the way to Crystal Palace.
Despite it being a great place to live, it does face a number of challenges, including gentrification, high rates of child mortality and, of course, crime.
We last considered Southwark in May and now we've looked at police data from January to October, as well as recently released statistics for November, to determine the areas with the highest amounts of crime.
5. Old Kent Road
From the start of this year until October, the Old Kent Road area of Southwark saw 1,784 reported crimes.
The most common crime was violence, reported 546 times, followed by theft, reported 401 times.
The worst months for crime were January, August and May, in that order, which each saw around 200 crimes reported.
In January, when 210 crimes were reported, this averages out to almost seven reported crimes every day.
4. Rye Lane
The Rye Lane area saw 2,240 crimes reported in the ten months from January to October.
The most common crime by a long stretch was theft, reported 795, followed by violence, reported 523 times.
The worst month for crime by far was June, when 260 incidents were reported.
3. North Walworth
There were 2,334 crimes reported in North Walworth from January to October.
The most common reported crime was theft, reported 685 times, followed by violence, reported 534 times.
The worst month for crime in this area was March, with 300 reported incidents.
In November, the three most commonly reported crimes were theft (30), drug offences (27) and violence (27).

In November the rate of crime per 1,000 residents was 35, more than three times the borough average.
1. London Bridge and West Bermondsey
The most crime-ridden area of Southwark is London Bridge and West Bermondsey, where 3,588 crimes were reported from January to October.
Unsurprisingly given its central location and tourist appeal, the most common crime by far was theft, reported 1,947 times.
October is so far the worst month for crime, with 419 incidents reported, which averages out to more than 13 crimes a day.
In November the rate of crime per 1,000 residents was 28, more than double the borough average.
