Elvie started performing publicly in 2012, eventually competing on American Idol in 2016 but failed to make it past the first round.

He signed with BBR Music Group in 2020.

In 2020, Elvie released his hit single My Boy which he wrote with Russell Sutton, Lee Starr, and Nick Columbia. It was ranked #1 on the Country Airplay and the Hot Country Songs list. It also peaked at #28 on The Billboard Hot 100.
